Flexible Materials Inc. is a manufacturing company specializing in real wood veneer products. We are seeking a skilled, Manufacturing Team Lead to support daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. This role serves as a key point of coordination between production staff and management, driving performance, supporting team development, and maintaining a positive work environment.
This is a first shift, Monday through Friday position with consistent hours, a strong team environment, and the opportunity to share in the company’s success through employee ownership and a reliable monthly bonus program.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of production employees to meet daily production goals
  • Monitor workflow, staffing, and equipment to ensure efficient operations
  • Enforce safety policies and promote a culture of workplace safety
  • Ensure product quality standards are consistently met
  • Troubleshoot production issues and escalate concerns as needed
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing performance feedback
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports
  • Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to improve processes

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred
  • 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of production processes and safety standards
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar systems)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement practices
  • Ability to analyze data and make operational decisions

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing floor setting with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
  • Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)
